Sands of the South - OOC

The campaign I plan to first launch has a name: Sands of the South. Welcome to the Desert.

This will be the location for all of our out-of-character (OOC) conversations about rules, jokes, questions, and so forth that don't quite belong in the Game thread I'll be making shortly.

I'll also be creating a section for our Characters, so that you guys and gals can elaborate for reference on whatever mysterious backstory you want. It is invitation only.

Feel free to make yourself at home here if you plan to be a part of this campaign.

Alrighty, so it's written down for all to see and refer back to, here's the few alterations I'm making to the rules.

1) Ability scores may exceed 20. I am NOT capping them with any maximum.

2) Character levels may exceed 20. I am NOT capping them with any maximum.

3) You get a Bonus Proficiency in an Artisan's Toolset of your choice. This is as much for flavor, experimentation, and fun as actually contributing to some mechanical challenge in gameplay.

4) ALL players get to start with a standard Feat. This is meant to give you guys a little bit of an edge early on since you're new, and because I want to see some good character customization.

5) ONLY players with standard Player's Handbook Races - some of the supplemental races are considered a little OverPowered (OP). So Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has provided a neat little list of supplemental RACIAL FEATS. So you guys get to pick one of those as well. Updated the game thread. Just a rough introduction of where you are and how you got there. Up to you guys now. Talk to one another, explore the world, And give me direction when you want to perform a specific action.

Yeah, you have your crap on you or can assume it washed up in proximity to you, along with A bunch of other shit. Being that it was close enough to shore, I'm even allowing that heavy armor or weapons accompanied you safely.

Well. Do be fair. None of you had anything until it's recorded here. Or rather, the Almanac thread.

Folks. When you declare an action, don't tell me the attribute, such as Strength, give me the skill. Athletics. Investigation. Perception. Those are what I need. I also need you guys to either load pictures of your character sheets of type out what you've got.

Please bear with us oh great DM. We are but lowly noobs.

This is an out-of-character question. You're asking the DM a question, not another character. So this goes here, in the out-of-character thread. I deleted your original to keep the separation.

And you guys I'm not naked. I shoukd have specified and that's my fault. I wrapped the sail around my head like a hajib. The rest of it I kinda wrapped around my arms to protect anything that might be exposed skin. Drow and sunlight aren't BFFs.
