"Aye, would be, but I ain't about to be goin trouncin over the world lookin fer trouble wen we got plenty 'ere."

I look to Brian and Zorra. "We are going to rule this island one day" I say with a smile and a laugh.

There's a strange hum in the distance...

You've literally no idea. It's sort of the sound you'd expect to hear as soft stone slides over a dry waterfall. Just... Unnatural in a way you cant place.

Meanwhile, the sun is nearing the horizon and you're still a couple miles from the farm. This has been an unusually long journey...

I try to discern what direction the sound is coming from?

I look up to the sky, then to the others "Best be getting back to the farm"

And all together you finally make it back to your sleepy little farm, nothing amiss. It had only been a couple of days, but it sure felt longer.

I get down from the cart and show the new guys around and show them where they can sleep. "Ye two can relax for the day and we start work in the mornin'"

I greet Pengu "AYE LAD! I SURE MISSED YE!" and hug him. "You kept this place safe while we were away, I'm glad"

Vaca, your sole fieldhand until now, comes out and chatters at the newcomers about life in the big city and the worldly news. He looks a little sad you didn't even acknowledge - or indeed seem to remember - him. For their part, your two new hands settle down without much fuss. Pengu asks strangely towards you. As if you smell of blood.

"Home sweet home" I sigh to myself in relief.
I get inside and start tending to my duties before nightfall and before we get together and discuss the events that have transpired.

I pat Pengu on the head, "Aye, you'll get used to the smell soon enough"

I help unload the cart and greet Vaca "Vaca! Yer always so quiet, I ferget yer even 'ere sometimes!"

"Ah! So good to be back! Hello Vaca! Hello pengu! Shall I make some dinner everyone? Stew? Steak? Pickled pengu feet?" I nudge Zorra in the side, "Haha who am I kidding! Of course you want gizzard pie!" I walk off and grab some meat, and light a fire, putting a pot over it to get the food ready.

It eventually turns itself into an edible stew, if not necessarily good.

The sun has set.

"You know me, I will eat anything to soothe the stomach." I laugh at Bryan's cooking. "It is truly great to finally be back home and off that damn wagon!"

You all eat, yet despite the day, you aren't exhausted. You could probably get in some reading, crafting, or just drink yourself blind before bed. Totally up to you.

I go to the large whetstone and start sharpening my sword.
