Shoshana: Jory nods, "It was a good price to get through the gate. They got the weakest steeds we had, no great sacrifice." He smiles at you and winks.

Delrun: Banmila looks at the mountain and her mouth twists into a little half frown. "I see a scary world...full of danger...and loneliness" a tear rolls from her eye.

Zylo: Your full vision is back now. You feel a sense of hopefulness that your quest will be completed with these companions.

As your party moves forward along the road, it becomes less and less maintained. You move along for a few hours, the sun is getting lower in the sky, you all get a little dazed as the boring travel weighs you down.

Banmila has tied her horse off to the cart, and she is dozing in her saddle.

Yanta keeps his eyes towards Shoshana. "Gridi wanted white haired boy dead." He scratches his head. "Your strength kept him safe." he smiles at Shoshana. His teeth are not as bad as one would think a former prisoner's would be, slightly yellowed, but all there, a chip in his bottom front tooth.

Jory and family trudge ahead, eager to get to the destination.

"Zylo, come ere lad, I need someone in decent farking spirits to help keep me eyes wide. Perhaps we should set camp? These roads are bad enough without it being night." I look to Jory for his response.

Jory looks to you, "We can camp at sundown. No time to waste, who knows what troubles lurk on the road, if we wait until night to camp, we can make it further. I'd say we have about three more hours of travel before we rest."

I gesture towards the giants words and just let out a "psh" with a annoyed tone as I look off towards the dwarf.

"Yeah? I like teh think I keep things lively around 'ere. These roads could be disadvantageous at night and we don' know what we will run into within the dark and trust meh, danger hides in the dark. Camp sounds nice to meh." I say with a smile.

Jory chuckles, "You do keep things interesting Zylo" he continues forward on his steed.

"From what I remember from my previous travels along this road, it is fairly safe. The savages from the islands can be trouble sometimes, but they haven't been a problem in months."

"That is up to you all. You are the security on this trip." Jory laughs.

Banmila is still hunkered over in her saddle, soft sobs can be heard from her cloak.

Yanta jogs effortlessly beside the caravan.

Shoshana merely nods to the giant, and rides on, eyes scanning the horizon, and once in a while riding back down the road to check their backtrail. She wasn't nervous, but she was wary.

The sun descends into the mountains. The road goes dark, so far, you have not seen a single traveler along the road. A few animals have been spotted, Yanta stepped on a mouse. The air is still, and the smell of trees and dirt overwhelms your senses. The horses walk at a slightly slower pace. You have been travelling for about 6 hours now.
Banmila looks to Zylo, "You seem familiar, ya know?"

Yanta keeps his eyes on Shoshana, always looking at her with a large grin.

Jory looks forward, his brow furled and a determined gaze permanently resting on his face.
His family stays in the cart keeping eyes open for any potential threats.

Delrun faces front sniffs the wild air through his beard, he wishes for the cold air of his mountain home. "Fakin orcs!"..he yells tiredly and realized he isn't alone as before. "Shite, sorry lads, don't panic...Jory where do ye plan on settling?"

Shoshana: Yanta's deep voice lowers to a whisper, "Come from Drak, brothers and me float over on boat. Kill lots of people, lots of gold for Yanta. Got caught. No death punishment here, life of slave...Yanta no wanna be a slave. Killed slaver's son. Put in prison, no slave."

Delrun: Jory looks at you. "There should be a small clearing to the right up here. We stayed there many times when we traveled to Aentar."

After a few minutes more of travel, Jory signals everyone to go to the right, you all diverge from the path and a short walk through the woods, the trees clear and there is a nice flat spot for you to make camp. Jory and his family immediately start getting to work setting up camp and tending to the horses. The grass in the clearing is about ankle high, plenty for the horses to eat.

"You should not be so hasty to murder, Yanta. 'Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hands on you, send him to the cemetery.' That is one of the central tenets I follow, and it is just good sense. If you give no one reason to do you ill, then when they themselves engage in evil acts, you are righteous in your justice and retribution. But that should always be your last resort." This had been a mix of a lecturing tone that softened as she went on, but still stern enough to brook no argument. "If you wish to travel with me, and I will appreciate your company if you do, then I should expect you to behave in a more... communal manner." Seeing that he probably didn't understand that, she rephrased. "Friendly. We must be friendly, until we are forced to be... unfriendly. You understand, yes?"

By this point, she's climbing down from her stallion, and hobbling him to graze nearby while she readies her bedroll.

Shoshana: Yanta is very intrigued by your words, and very receptive of them. "No hurt person? Only if person hurt Yanta?" His face twists into a puzzled look, his brain is working overtime to process this thought. "Yanta be friendy. But if person hurt Yanta, Yanta squish?"

All: Banmila sets up a very small one person tent, on the opposite side of the clearing as Shoshana.

Yanta starts stamping down grass in the area where he expects to sleep, his face still twisted in thought from his new rules of engagement.

Dook wrote:"I'm going to venture out and explore the close land and bring in some extra food and water for the group. I'll be back in a bit" I leave before anyone can say anything to me. (Outlander feature)

When I get a few yards away, out of site from camp, I look back to see if anyone is following. I get on all fours and start running as fast as I could scavenging food and exploring the terrain. Taking note to the location and what the landscape features might lead us further upon our quest.

After awhile I find a rock to perch up on with a perfect view of the night sky. I howl as long as I can. I reminisce on the wolf pack and how I miss them.

After a couple of hrs to myself, I come back up to camp with whatever I found for food.

Zylo: You find a small stream where you gather water, no substantial food was found. Just some berries, a squirrel you managed to hit with a rock, and some edible mushrooms. Should be enough to make a watery stew.

Everyone else: A little while after Zylo had left, you all hear a distant howl. Sending shivers down all your spines (just like a spooky scary skeleton)

Your camp gets set up, Zylo's spot is lumpy and uncomfortable, because he ran off alone...

Shoshana: Yanta smiles is doofy grin and sits down in his little flattened grass spot. He curls up and shuts his eyes. You soon hear a soft snore coming from him.
Jory gets his family settled and walks over to you.

"Can we trust the brute?" he whispers softly and bluntly to you."He seems daft."

Shoshana was silent for a moment, regarding the 'brute' curled up like a cat. "You know, I didn't expect him to be so... Simple. I saw a big man, back at the gate, who looked like he alone could wreck our chances of escape. My behavior was an act, designed to isolate that threat, but I never dreamed he would join us." She shrugged, lying back onto her saddle, propped as a pillow. "He will be useful, or he will be a problem. I will not harm him, nor cause harm to come to him, until he gives me reason. He is... childlike in his innocence, in a way. Left to his devices, he'll be set for the headsman's Axe sooner rather than later, and largely I think because he does not understand civilized norms. He needs a strict code by which to abide, and so I shall teach him."

The sun is down and the wind blows easily through the clearing. Everyone's camps are set up and they are pretty comfortable. Shoshana and Jory stand guard. Watching over the resting group. It is quiet tonight.

Shoshana: Jory sighs, "I won't tell you how to conduct this..." he looks around at the new party, "group of adventurers." He says in a questioning tone. "You seem pragmatic in your thinking. That is why I trust you to escort us. And I thank you for taking up the task."

"You're not to be so blind with emotion that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or says it," she intones, clearly by rote recital. "Those people back there, they have reason to be angry, vengeful. But they have no right to harm you and yours. If I did not stand by you, who would? We'll get you where you're going, and with luck and blessing, we'll all prosper."

Shoshana: Jory nods, "I guess you're right." he sighs. "My home is in shambles now..." He looks to his horses. "These are all we have now. We will have to sell them to pay for a new home. It is funny how life can force you to be uprooted. Ms. Shoshana, you and the others are sent from the Gods to help us." He smiles. "My grandmother will not live much longer, a year at most." He pauses for a moment. "I just want her to die peacefully."

Delrun: Banmila looks up at you. "My heart has broken." She waves her hand slightly. "Nothing to be done." Her head drops..."I am useless here"
