Brethren of Grath - Gameplay

"That guy looked angry, but hopefully the bartender isn't as stuck up as some of the people here"
I scan the room and eye the guy who was so unwelcoming to us.
I turn to the waitress
"Thank you for the drinks!!"

The bartender approaches "Excuse me, sirs, ma'am, we uh have gotten some complaints about you being' here. Some of the other customers find your attire uh...offensive." he says in a nervous tone. "We usually don't have ruffians in our tavern here. I think its best you all leave, before the guards get called." He looks upset as he says all of this, you all can tell that these are not HIS words.

Ragnar: The sexy waitress smiles at you, giving you warm feels all through your body. "You're welcome, sir" she says.

"Well that went from 'On the House' to 'Not in My House' real quick!! Hahaha!" I laugh to the bartender,
He looks nervous but he is just doing his job.
"You seem like a good guy just trying to do your job, but can we not finish our food and then leave?" I ask him, hoping he can stand up to the angry rich guy.
"Besides, our food has been great, and the service even better so far!" I say to him as I smile at the waitress.

"So our attire is offensive? Should I take it off? Would my nakedness make them less offended? Even though we have the money to eat here and drink for you? Now as you can tell, I am not angry with you. You seem like a very great gentleman who prefers us to stay because diversity is a good thing am I right. Plus, we plan on giving you, your host, and that very beautiful waitress a fantastic tip for your generosity, but if any these silver spooned pompous fools for being "offended" just by our mere presence, then they should be the ones to leave because we have all the more right to be here than they do. We might not were the fanciest clothes or have all the jewelry but sure don't have to take any of this. And I think you would agree with me. This is YOUR place, is it not?"

(You decide how this comes across.)

The bartender just stands there silently. You see the angry rich man standing at the bar with a scowl on his face. The whole tavern is silent and watching the exchange. The angry man smiles and composes himself and walks out of the building. You all hear "GUARDS!" from outside.

*ahhh shite* I say in my head.

"Also, bartender, I did not catch your name because we are here on business and that business is with you. That was our sole purpose of coming to your fine tavern. To find a certain product and low and behold, you have it. Now, you help us out, we help you out. Win, win, everyone is happy."

I turn to the group and make a face saying help me out guys!!!!!!

The bartender frowns, and silently mouths, "I'm sorry" then audibly says "Unfortunately, I cannot help you today, the guards are on their way to escort you out."

The attractive waitress looks to the ground and frowns, then she scurries away...

You all get a sinking feeling in your gut that something is about to happen.

The bartender says under his breath, "meet me in the back in an hour." And backs away as four guards walk through the front door, swords drawn.

I take my last bite of steak and chug my ale
"Dann, I would like to have enjoyed that more. Do we fight or run through em?"
I look at my table mates
" Either way this should be fun"

I put a hand on the big guys chest...to calm him. "If we fight now...we might not get what we came 'ere to get."

I nod at the bartender. I grab my ale a chug the rest of it and put my hands up

"Alright, I get the point, no trouble here. We will leave quietly, no need to be poked by sometin sharp. Even I know when to walk away."

"Come on guys...we have somewhere else to be anyway." I drop two gold coins on the table. One for the lass and on for the bartender.

I leave money for the food, and tip the waitress with two gold pieces,
"Thanks for everything"
I get up to walk out of the door and stare down the man who called the guards.
"What exactly are you even trying to throw us out for?"
I look at the guards and laugh

The guards stand 2 on either side of the door, "A'right, c,mon big guy" one says towards Ragnar.
The angry rich man just stands with his arms folded behind the guards. "You don't belong here big man. You do not have the right to share the same air as me and the others who share the same level in society." He scoffs. "To think, a giant savage, (he looks at Zylo) a scruffy boy in chains (he rolls his eyes), a giant lizard, and a half elf....thinking they can mingle with us...ha!" His pompous attitude cuts through the silent room. "I am the son of the wealthiest slave merchant in the city, you think that you can just...just eat here in our tavern. Look around you, no one wants you here. You do not BELONG (he says belong slow and loud and extremely condescendingly, mouth wide open enunciating every syllable the word)"

As your party walks out the door the guards follow behind you. "Don't show your faces in there again. Or we might have to bust some heads. The Golden Chalice is a place for the betters of society to mingle. You all are clearly not from Grath, so we will let you off with a warning." the guard with a few more decorations on his armor says, probably a patrol leader or something. They watch as your party walks along.

Before we leave, I hear the pompous fool say he is a son of the wealthiest SLAVE merchant.

I give him the coldest and deathly stare as he says this (intimidation) as I walk out, remembering every detail of the man.

When we arrive outside, I relay the information that the barkeep gave me earlier to the group. "We have an hour to waste, we could examine wares on the outside stalls until then, possibly fine some finer equipment?" I say as I calm myself down, checking my self for any changes on my body.

Zylo: the merchant ignores your icy cold death stare.

I laugh again at the guards, "I'm sure you could bust our heads!" I yell as I chuckle.
I turn to the group and continue laughing
"Imagine that guy saying that without all of those guards around, he'd probably piss his pants if he walked past us in a dofferent part of town. Son of the biggest slave trader here, sounds like a family we may need to meet later, and make sure their business lives up to his claims."
I contemplate what I would do , then notice the chains around Zylos wrists.
"What's with the chains Zylo? Im sire they arebt a fashion statement."

I was able to pay my dues on my way out and I left a gold for the helpful bartender.
"I get really tired of people his type." I say now that we're outside referring to the pompous one who had us forcefully removed.

"Zylo, that's very good that you and Ragnar we're able to minimize the damage during that. You even got us some info." I nod approvingly.

"I'm down to kill an hour. Let's go look at weapons!" I say surprisingly excited.

"They were when I was a slave. A reminder for THOSE kind of people who find profit and enjoyment off of others suffering."

I say this in the most serious tone and all playful joking they heard earlier was nonexistent, like it was a different person saying these words...

"We'll... don't worry. In my experience these kinds of people will eventually get what's coming to them." I place my hand on Zylo's shoulder.

"Let's split up for now and come back here in 45 minutes. What do y'all say?"

"This is the second encounter like this I've had today, its probably best to stay together"
I say kind of annoyed, thinking of a few ways to kill some time.
"As much as I'd like to find someone fun to do to kill an hour, we probably shouldnt split up. Geliah and I got harassed by some guys earlier, and now the guards. We definitely aren't welcome."

The market is still bustling with people. You all catch a few of them staring at you some more. Then ignoring you completely.

Ragnar: As you are talking to the others, you feel a soft touch on your lower back.

The people in the market are starting to get concerned at your party's statue-like stillness and quietness. All of you are just standing in a group, un-moving and silent.

People stop and stare at you for a moment before getting freaked out and moving along.

I notice the soft touch on my back, as if its been there for days, then I turn to see who it is

I too notice how long we have been standing still...
"Did those rich folk play a trick on us with those free beverages? Did they spike us with some paralysis agent??"

I turn towards the entity touch Ragnars Back...

As you both turn, you see the woman who served your food. She reaches out her hand at Ragnar, "Here, you can have this back since your meal was interupted" you all can see gold coins in her palm.

I just put up my hand and say "No need. Take it for the trouble we 'ave caused you."
